I obviously need help!
I realize that I don’t have what it takes.
I can will it, but I can’t do it.
I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it;
I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway.
My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions.
Something has gone wrong deep within me
and gets the better of me every time …
I’ve tried everything and nothing helps.
I’m at the end of my rope.
Is there no one who can do anything for me?
Isn’t that the real question?

Knowing that I need an attitude adjustment is one thing but implementing the needed adjustment is a totally different story –the truth is it isn’t easy because there are times that I don’t have what it takes – I obviously need help! How about you? Who do you go to for help when you need to implement an attitude adjustment?



How encouraging is it to know the answer is Jesus Christ and it is to Him that we can go to for help …



The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does.
He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions
where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind,
but am pulled by the influence of sin
to do something totally different.

God has been helping his children take on the attitude of Christ for a long time. God is always available to us. He will always hear our prayers for guidance and counsel because He promises …



The Lord says,
“I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.”

Not only that but we can ask Him through the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to the Scriptures so that we can understand the Truth of His Word in a life-changing way because …



God means what he says.
What he says goes.
His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel,
cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense,
laying us open to listen and obey.
Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word.
We can’t get away from it—no matter what.
