Depression is treatable.

With so many possibilities, it’s no wonder nearly 10% of the population suffers from a depressive illness in any given one-year period. While millions of people in this country are affected by depression, less than half seek treatment. The reasons for not seeking treatment range from a lack of understanding of the seriousness of depression to shame over being depressed to the debilitating nature of depression itself. Whatever the reason, the majority of people who suffer from depression and seek treatment get better.
